Email Agent
Emailed resumes land in your pipeline, already scored. Connect your hiring inbox and the agent reads it for you: every resume becomes a scored applicant on the right job, replies and sends run from your own address, and interviews land on your calendar. No connection yet? Each job has its own apply address that works with zero setup.
9am
A 9am inbox, before and after
Before
Resumes sit in a personal inbox. Someone downloads each file and types the person into the ATS.
After
Each resume is a scored applicant on the right job. Missing details are already being chased. You open Review needed.
How it works
From a resume email to a scored applicant
1. Connect your inbox, or share the apply address
Connect your inbox from Settings, then Organization, and keep using your own address. Or copy the job's Application Email, engg+CODE@curriculo.me, and put that on the post. Both feed the same pipeline.
2. They email a resume
The candidate emails a resume the way they always have. No careers portal is required, and nothing about how they apply changes.
3. You get a scored candidate
The agent files a scored applicant on that job and emails them for anything they left out.
What it handles
What the agent sends on its own
These are fixed messages. There is no draft to approve, and the wording is not editable.
Scored applicant
Mail to the job address becomes an applicant on that job, with a score, in the first pipeline stage.
Missing details
If required details are missing, the candidate gets questions before anything else.
Application received
When the application is complete, the candidate gets a message that says Application received.
Paused job or bad file
A paused job, or an attachment the agent cannot use, gets its own automatic reply.
Where you see it
Where the applicant shows up
- The job's applications list
- Review needed, when an application needs a look
- The Conversation tab on the candidate profile, where you reply. The resume is the attachment shown there.
- Application Email on the job form, and Copy Email on the job overview
The hiring inbox itself is the email inbox. Setup steps are in the Email Agent guide.
Google and Microsoft
Connect your inbox: the full agent
An org admin connects the hiring mailbox from Settings, then Organization. With Inbox Sync, Email Sending and Calendar on, the agent reads the mailbox and ingests applications sent to your own address, outbound mail uses your address, and interviews use your calendar.
Google Workspace / Gmail
One Connect button. Turn on Inbox Sync, Email Sending and Calendar. You can connect up to five Gmail mailboxes.
Microsoft 365 / Outlook
One Connect button. The calendar checkbox reads Calendar & Teams. This is for Microsoft 365 work accounts, not outlook.com or hotmail.
Not connected yet? Applications use the job's curriculo.me address. Until a mailbox is connected with Inbox Sync on, mail sent to your own domain is not ingested.
Security
What disconnect keeps
Mailbox and calendar tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Disconnecting Google Workspace revokes that connection and clears email bodies stored from that mailbox. The applicants stay in your pipeline. Microsoft 365 disconnect, and the exact confirm text, are in the setup guide.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does the Email Agent do?
The Email Agent works off your hiring inbox. Connect it and the agent reads your hiring email, turns every resume into a scored applicant on the right job, automates replies and sends from your address, and manages interview scheduling. Without a connection, it still turns resumes emailed to each job's apply address into scored applicants.
Do I have to connect Gmail first?
No. Candidates can apply to the job address, engg+CODE@curriculo.me, with no mailbox connected. Connecting Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 is what unlocks the full agent: it reads your hiring inbox, ingests resumes sent to your own address, sends from your address and adds a calendar.
Which address should I put on the job post?
With your inbox connected and Inbox Sync on, your own address works: the agent ingests mail sent to it. With no mailbox connected, use the job's Application Email, which starts with engg+ and ends with @curriculo.me.
What does the candidate receive?
If required details are missing, they get questions. When the application is complete, they get a message that says Application received. A paused job or a bad attachment gets its own automatic reply.
Can it write replies for me?
No. The agent sends fixed messages. You write your own replies on the candidate Conversation tab.
Where does the applicant show up?
On that job's applications, in Review needed when the application needs a look, and on the candidate profile under the Conversation tab.
Is the Email Agent on the free plan?
Yes. It is included on Starter. Plan details are on the pricing page.
Does it sort my whole inbox?
With a connected inbox and Inbox Sync on, yes: the agent reads your hiring mailbox and ingests the application email arriving there. Without a connection it only reads mail sent to each job's apply address. Your personal replies stay yours to write.
What is an apply by email ATS?
An apply by email ATS lets candidates apply by sending their resume to an email address instead of filling in a form. In Curriculo ATS, every job gets its own apply address. The Email Agent turns each emailed resume into a candidate on that job, scores them from 0 to 100 against the job with a written summary, and emails them to ask for anything missing.
